Employees injured when trusses collapse
Investigation abstract
As employees were setting pre-fabricated wooded trusses into place on the steel frame of a building, the trusses that had already been set in place suddenly til ted and began to fall on each other, cascading to the ground. Employee #1, who w as 17 ft above ground helping set the trusses in place, rode a truss to the grou nd and suffered torn ligaments to his right ankle. Employee #2, who was standing on the ground under the trusses helping to guide them into place when the accid ent occurred, suffered head, back, and chest injuries. He was hospitalized.
