EMPLOYEE DIED FROM HEART ATTACK
Investigation abstract
Employee #1 was making watchman's rounds at 11 p.m. on the second day of his new he hospital. No work related conditions could be found for the cardiac arrest. job. Employee #1 was accompanied by another new employee. During the first walk around, Employee #1 began to complain of fatigue, and was observed to be sweatin g heavily. Shortly after completion of the first walkaround, Employee #1 suffere d cardiac and respiratory arrest. The other worker applied cardiopulmonary resus citation, breathing was resumed by Employee #1, but consciousness was not regain ed. The second worker summoned help, but Employee #1 had suffered cardiac and re spiratory arrest again during the several minutes it required to summon help.
