ONE EMPLOYEE KILLED, SEVEN INJURED IN POTATO CELLAR COLLAPSE
Investigation abstract
Employee #1 and seven other employees, were cleaning a potato cellar. The cellar was a free standing structure on a floating concrete pad. The employees were re -lining the roof of the cellar where it sagged. The structure shifted suddenly, its unit supports tilted, and the cellar collapsed, trapping Employee #1 and the other seven employees inside. Employee #1 was killed during the collapse. The o ther seven employees sustained injuries.
