EMPLOYEE PINNED BY RADIOGRAPHIC AND FLUOROSCOPE TABLE
Investigation abstract
On November 22, 1989, Employee #1 was attempting to troubleshoot a Picker Intern nearly transected and the inferior vena cava was completely transected at the l evel of the diaphragm. ational radiographic and fluoroscopic table and filmer, Model Astro 102, which h ad been operating erratically. Employee #1 worked as a radiology technologist at the Jones Memorial Hospital, located in Wellsville, NY, the place of the accide nt. Employee #1 was lying on the floor underneath the radiographic and fluorosco pic table and was trying to locate the source of the technical problem. Suddenly , the radiographic and fluoroscopic table began to tilt and pinned Employee #1 b etween the floor and the underside of the table. Employee #1 subsequently died f rom injuries sustained in the accident. Employee #1's left lobe of the liver was
