EMPLOYEE KILLED BY FALLING TREE
Investigation abstract
On Wednesday morning at approximately 9:50 am, Employee #1 was helping to fell a mployee #1 was in the danger zone when the tree hit the ground. Employee #1 was struck in the chest. The impact broke several of his ribs. Employee #1 was taken to the hospital where he died. pine tree. Employee #1 and two coworkers were attempting to pull the pine tree down, when the pine tree lodged into another tree within its fallen path. Both E mployee #1 and Employee #2 tried to dislodge the tree. Employee #3 tied the tag rope into another tree to spring the lodged pine loose. When Employee #3 pulled the rope, the pine tree started to fall to the ground. After the tree hit the gr ound Employee #3 was looked behind him for Employee #1. Employee #3 thought that Employee #1 was behind him and in the clear area where Employee #1 was supposed to be. Employee #3 later found Employee #1 under the fallen tree. Apparently, E
