Employee's leg broken by falling rebar
Investigation abstract
At approximately 10:30 a.m. on March 19, 1990, Employee #1 was placing dunnage o n the ground to hold rebar which was to be hoisted by a crane onto a bridge unde r construction. A Caterpillar 966 front end loader with a fork attachment was be ing used to place the rebar on the dunnage when some of the rebar fell from the forks of the loader and struck Employee #1. He suffered a broken leg and was hos pitalized for several days.
