Employee injured in fall from window
Investigation abstract
Employee #1 was alone on the second floor of a building, sawing holes in the con he water. As he was making a second trip to the ledge with a bucket of water, he apparently slipped on the window ledge and fell out the window opening. Employe e #1 may have been distracted when he saw fellow workers outside. Employee #1's right arm and back were injured. crete floor with a Target concrete saw. He was using water to control the dust. At the end of his work day, Employee #1 stopped sawing and began to clean up the area and dispose of the dirty water. He dumped the first bucket of water in a t oilet, but thought the toilet might clog if he continued to dump the water in it . Employee #1 then decided to dump the water out a nearby window. The window ope ning was 4 ft 6 in. wide and 7 ft 6 in. high. The window ledge or bottom of the opening was 39 1/2 in. above the floor and 31 ft 3 in. above the ground.
