EMPLOYEE KILLED IN FALL AFTER SLIPPING ON ICY I-BEAM
Investigation abstract
Employee #1, who worked for Yeargin Construction Corporation, was using a crane basket and crane to check newly installed overhead crane rails that had been rep aired because the overhead crane was binding on the rails. Employee #1 stepped o ut of the crane basket onto an 8 in. wide ice-covered I-beam for the overhead cr ane that was 45 ft above a clay surface. He slipped and was killed in the ensuin g fall.
