ELECTRIC SHOCK - CONTACT WITH OVERHEAD LINE THRU LADDER
Investigation abstract
Two employees were installing an aluminum gutter on the roof of a two-story gara ge. One of the employees descended their ladder to the freshly hydro-seeded, dam p ground. As he was repositioning the 7.3-meter-long, aluminum extension ladder, he slipped, and the ladder contacted a 7000-volt overhead power line. The emplo yee received an electric shock and sustained burns on the biceps of his left arm and on the bottoms of his feet. He was hospitalized for his injures.
