An employee was operating an injection molding press machine. The injured employee pulled a part out of the press through the door. The door jammed when the injured employee tried to close it, so the employee reached inside the machine to clear the jam. The employee's hand got caught by a machine part; the employee's thumb tip, including part of the thumbnail, was amputated.
