Final narrative
An employee was responsible for loading rail cars with peanuts. The employee climbed to the top of the rail car to position the shoot for the loading process. The employee was wearing a retractable harness at the time of the incident. The train began moving forward at a slow rate of speed, causing the retractable lanyard to become fully extended. The employee was pulled from the top of the rail car and impacted the ground resulting in serious injury (bleeding on the brain and a shoulder injury) requiring hospitalization.
