An employee was attempting to move a trailer with a yard jockey style truck. The employee backed the yard jockey up to the trailer and missed the kingpin. He then attempted to exit the yard jockey and attach the trailer lines. After exiting the yard jockey, he walked to the rear of the truck and placed his body between the yard jockey and the trailer. At the time, the yard jockey was left in reverse and the parking brake was not engaged. The yard jockey moved, and the employee was then caught between the yard jockey and the trailer. He was hospitalized with upper and lower body injuries, including strains, sprains, and severe bruising to the leg and torso.
