Final narrative
An employee was drilling holes in square tubing using a drill. He had finished drilling 77 holes and went to move the drill. He put his left hand on the chuck just above the cutter (drill bit), while his right hand was near the back of the drill. When he tried to moved the drill, it was still magnetized. He was going to use his right hand to demagnetize the drill, but the start button was accidentally activated. The material of his glove between his left pointer finger and thumb became caught in the shaft of the drill, twisting his left thumb and causing a compound fracture.
