Final narrative
At approximately 1900 hours on 24 August 2016, an employee was involved in a "High Altitude Low Oxygen" (HALO) "free fall" parachute jump as part of his training curriculum. When the wind shifted at the drop zone, he was dragged into a chain link fence and fractured his right leg/ankle. The employee was admitted to the hospital and will require surgery to repair the fracture to his leg/ankle.

He had a hard landing on rocky terrain and suffered a skull fracture, a traumatic brain injury, facial fractures, a fractured neck vertebra, left-side pneumothorax, a broken left humerus, a broken left scapula, three broken ribs on the left side, a broken right tibia, and a shattered knee. He was hospitalized.
