An employee was waiting for potatoes to be graded (using a bulk grader) so that he could load them onto a tractor trailer when he noticed a bad potato on the conveyor. When he attempted to pull the bad potato out, his right index finger was caught in the conveyor's moving chain and sprocket, amputating it to the first joint.
