Final narrative
An employee was loading a mini-excavator onto a roll-back truck when the boom of the mini-excavator swung around, causing the machine to fall off the truck. The employee dismounted the excavator and landed on his buttocks. He tried to get out of the way, but the roll-over protection landed on his right leg, resulting in a compound fracture to his tibia and bruised lower back. He was hospitalized.
