An employee was laying a cement block on the second floor balcony of a new residential building. At the same time, a crane was hoisting a pallet on the eighth floor when a cement block unit fell from the pallet and struck the employee on the balcony. This knocked the employee from the balcony to the ground floor below. The employee suffered a fractured clavicle.

An employee was using a pipe wrench to turn a 42-foot-long steel pipe on jack stands to weld the bottom portion. The pipe fell off the stands, striking the injured employee on his left shin.
