Final narrative
An employee on the walking beam of a pumping unit had just removed the horse head of a pump jack when a bolt on the beam broke and the beam tilted over. The employee slid down the beam until he hit a motor at the bottom of the pumping unit and fell to the ground approximately 6 to 7 feet below. He was hospitalized with a head laceration and left leg laceration.
