Caught in running equipment or machinery during maintenance, cleaning · Other burns, first degree
Final narrative
An employee was applying plastic stretch film to a roll of carpet using a trolley-mounted stretch film head. The film tore and retracted back into the head of the film machine, wrapping around some small middle tension rollers. The employee was removing the film from the rollers with scissors when the machine activated and fed more film. His gloved left hand was caught between the small rollers and the lid of the stretch wrap machine, causing friction burns to the back of the hand, the little finger, and the middle finger.
