Final narrative
Two employees were rigging down a cellar pump line while another contractor was rigging down a standpipe line. While both operations were close to each other, the crews were working separately. The injured employee had attempted to stabilize the standpipe with a come-along and forklift prior to rigging the line down, but when one of the hammer unions broke loose, the entire line shifted out of the support stand and fell on his right leg just above his ankle. He was hospitalized with a fractured ankle.
