On 12/9/2020, at 6:35 PM, an operator was performing a routine check of a boiler plant and noticed standing hot water that indicated a problem with an aerator tank's condensation pit. The employee and his supervisor made the decision to reset the sump pump's ground fault circuit interrupter. While exiting the condensation pit, the employee slipped off a pipe and fell into the standing hot water, resulting in hospitalization due to burns on his lower legs.
