An employee was cleaning the floor with a broom. He bent down to get something off the floor and placed his left hand on the guard of a screw conveyor. The guard of the conveyor was rotted; the employee's left index finger went through the guard. The conveyor cut their finger resulting in partial amputation above the fingernail.
