On September 23, 2022, a Tyson Prepared Foods employee was disassembling a bacon-slicing machine. When the employee tried to remove residual product from the belt and hold-down roller, the machine's blade caused amputations to the employee's middle and ring fingers and an avulsion to the index finger.

An employee was changing a saw blade when the saw machine activated. The employee's left ring and little fingers were amputated.
