An employee and co-workers were picking up trash and scrap plywood at a job site. The employee attempted to pick up loose 4x8 plywood on a concrete deck. When the employee stepped forward to get a better grip on the board, he fell 10 feet through a roof hatch opening to the concrete floor. The employee suffered a bump on back of his head, a laceration on the liver, rib fractures, broken processes on three vertebrae, cut hands, two lost finger pads on one hand, and fluid pressure against the right lung.
