Final narrative
Employees were lifting the floor of a rig after tying off the floor with a winch line. The floor was lifted so the employees could remove the retaining/lifting chains. The knot came undone, causing the rig floor to fall a short distance and strike the injured employee. The employee was knocked down and rendered unconscious. He suffered a concussion and a compression to his upper spine.
