An employee was descending the resort work road on an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) at end of his trail maintenance shift. The ATV rolled while crossing a water drainage depression in the road and the employee fell on his back, landing on a metal water bottle in his backpack. The employee was hospitalized with a back injury.
