An employee was taking pieces of the old roof from the side of the house and walking across the roof to toss them in a dumpster, lengthening the safety rope as she went. When she returned to the side of the roof she leaned over to grab pieces of old roof and fell to the ground due to the length of her safety rope. She sustained fractures to her hip, elbow, and wrist, bruising to her kidney, and the loss of two teeth. The employee was hospitalized.
