Final narrative
An employee was using an excavator (with hydraulic shears mounted on it) to move, shear, and cut old steel trusses. He set a truss on the ground in front of him and began adjusting the position of the excavator. The truss rolled into the cab of the excavator and struck his right leg below the knee. He suffered a broken tibia and fibula as well as a wound to the lower leg.
