Final narrative
An employee was helping a client in the lobby and saw a dog escaping the backyard of the hospital and running into the street. The employee got into their personal vehicle to assist and was struck by an oncoming car while pulling out of the parking lot. The employee sustained 4 fractured ribs, a ruptured ligament in their knee, and burns, as well as glass embedded in their left arm and left side of their body.
