Final narrative
An operator was pulling a 50-foot power pole from a hole. The injured employee was guiding the pole when it became uncontrollably heavy. The employee went to secure the base of the pole, but the pole launched into the air, carrying the employee approximately 20 feet high. The employee subsequently released the pole and fell, landing on his right leg and side. He sustained a fractured femur.
