Before the incident
Worker was using a portable angle grinder inside a large fabricated truck body. Worker WAS wearing safety eye protection and a full face shield.
What happened
Grinding debris was thrown from low in front of worker up and behind face shield and safety glasses.

Supervisor commented that the small piece of debris was visible in Right eye on edge of iris was attempted to be washed out with saline and forced water eye wash station. Decision was made by Supervisor and Safety Manager to take worker to seek medical attention ay urgent care occ-med. Supervisor provided transportation to UC.
