walking into the dietary department

On 4-2-24 apporx [REDACTED] I C O Bechthold [REDACTED] walked into the kitchen area from the hallway. When I entered there was a cloud of steam. The inmates were cleaning the flattops. When I rounded the corner I breathed in the steam and it took my breath away. I started coughing. I went over to the flattops and asked if the vents were on because of the cloud hanging in the air. The II ignored me so I asked the food service coordinators. They shouted out and asked if the vents were on. No reply but know more then they asked the cloud diapered. I coughed a little the rest of my shift but when I got up the morning [REDACTED] my chest felt full my nose was running and have a headache with a cough. I have not been in contact with anyone with any type of illnesses. I reported this to [REDACTED] and safety officer. The cloud may be visible on the security cameras.
