Employee was cleaning downtown [REDACTED] and he was bending downward looking downward picking up trash using gloves and a trash bag.

While picking up the trash in [REDACTED] I was looking downward to pick up trash while keeping an eye out for syringe needles (used for injecting drugs). While I was doing so I felt a poke in my right foot. When I looked down I saw a needle near my foot. The syringe needle had poked my right foot. My foot was not necessarily affected as there was no puncture hole seen on my foot as well as no blood was seen or drawn. Just wanted to take precautionary measures due to the situation and area in which we were in as a team ([REDACTED])
