Before the incident
Employee (EE) was removing the tape from along the top of a cardboard box of Integral Windows when they slid their right hand underneath the top edge of the box where the box top and tape connect The EE then moved their hand in a downward motion to break the tape seal When they did so the right ring fingertip got caught in the tape and was torqued towards the left Simultaneously the employee felt a pop in their right ring fingertip and thought they had jammed it After trying to move it it did not feel right to the EE and they contacted the immediate Supervisor
