Employee was moving roll over bar hoops off of a rack and onto a table to sand the rust off of them.

Employee was having trouble lifting the hoops straight up and off of the rack so a co-worker showed her a way to rotate the bar to the side of the rack and take it off sideways. Employee was trying this method and the hoop ended up slipping out of her right hand and falling on her left which was palm side up between the hoop and the rack. Her left middle finger was smashed in between the hoop and the rack.

The employees finger was fractured and bent to the side but she straightened it immediately after the injury on her own accord. The finger also had a laceration from one side to another on the palmar side of the distal phalanx.

There were two objects that were involved in this crush injury. A roll bar hoop and that rack they sit on. The employees finger was crushed in between the two objects.

Left middle finger crushed between metal tube and a rack.
