There was not a specific event that caused this injury but over the course of the day the employee 's right eye started to become irritated. The following day the employee had trouble opening their eye and they were taken to an optometrist.

The employee was taken to an optometrist who diagnosed the employee with eye irritation. She said there were no scratches and nothing embedded in the eye. The optometrist perscribed a steroid to speed up the healing process.
