Before the incident
The operator was using the wrench strap which is a strap that is slid around a large rod this one in particular weighing in at 4120 lbs. in order to rotate the rod towards the operator in an effort to straighten the rod. Once the rod hits a certain point the operator should be able to hit a red button with their elbow while still holding onto to the wrench strap. In this case the operator was using all of his body weight as always when the strap on the wrench snapped causing the operator to lose his balance and his elbow slam against the machine causing a great deal of pain
