On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] [REDACTED] driver was operating tractor 0621055 pulling empty trailer 33548C0057. While traveling North bound on [REDACTED] in the far-right lane just prior to the downtown [REDACTED] onramp in heavy rain and wind. Driver left the roadway onto the right shoulder and braked hard causing the tractor to jackknife to the right impacting the right side of the trailer with the right side of the tractor causing damage to exhaust system right side of tractor and back window. The tractor slid into the concrete guardrail causing damage to the front bumper and grill struck two construction signs with the driver side and driver side door causing damage to the door front left of tractor windshield and driver window. The tractor and trailer came to a rest at the end of guard rail. [REDACTED] Police and EMS arrived and driver was transported to Tampa General Hospital.
