Unloading bulk mail equipment from trailer.
What happened
On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] the driver was on door 56 on the [REDACTED] dock at USPS [REDACTED]. The employee bent over to let his trailer door up and raised up the dock plate. He grabbed a pallet jack and went inside his trailer slid the pallet jack under the pallet and started to pump it up to height so he could start to roll the mail out. He kept on unloading and he started to feel discomfort in his lower back. About the time he finished unloading he realized that he had hurt his back. It started like a dull throbbing so he went to report his injury to the supervisor and then left and went to the emergency room to get checked out.
