What happened

On [REDACTED] Miami Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) entered the Logistics office at [REDACTED] to notify 204B that he injured himself. He states that it happened at Royal Palm plant located at [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] 36 or 38. Between [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] he was waiting for the dock plate to lower so that he could off load his truck. According to employee the lift gate of the dock plate would not flatten out so he used a strap to hook the bottom of the dock plate to hold it up with one hand and press the button for the dock plate to extend with the other hand. Because of how he positioned himself he had to hop over inside the truck to get the plate to flatten out using the hook on the strap. This is when he felt a sharp pain in his right knee. employee failed standard operating procedures using a strap to assist with the dock plate.
