Gettting ready to offload truck

On [REDACTED] @ [REDACTED]. motor vehicle driver at the [REDACTED] P&DC called dispatch to inform us he was injured at the [REDACTED]. MVO informed us that amazon or another contractor was in the bay and their truck was dead and couldn’t leave the bay. [REDACTED] utilized his lift gate instead to get the mail off his truck. As he was taking the safety chain off his right-hand middle finger got stuck between the liftgate and the body of the truck. It was stuck for about 30 seconds until he decided to lower the lift gate and his finger became free. Rich the [REDACTED] was on the platform when the incident occurred MVO finger rushed of blood and [REDACTED] offered to bandage his finger and he declined until he was done offloading and then he bandaged the finger. MVO drove back to [REDACTED] where he asked for medical attention and was semi – treated at Urgent care in [REDACTED]. The doctor his instructed him to see an orthopedic surgeon today.
