What happened

Supervisor received a phone call from Carrier stating that he had been an accident. He was instructed to dial [REDACTED] and report the accident which he did. Manager went out to the scene [REDACTED] was on scene. She stated to me that our vehicle was struck and it was a hit-and-run. She stated that the other driver must’ve been traveling over 45 miles an hour and then fled the scene driving down Street. Carrier stated that he was fine and that he didn’t want to go with the EMS. Carrier had the door open to the [REDACTED] and was not wearing his seatbelt. He was ejected from the vehicle. The officer stated that carrier hit his head when he was ejected when that was discovered he was instructed to go to the ER. The postal vehicle was turning left to take a break to use the bathroom.
