As carrier was delivering package to [REDACTED] carrier made sure that the customer 's dogs were not in the yard before he proceeded to deliver mail. Delivery path to mailbox was clear of customer 's dog so the carrier proceeded to the mailbox to deliver mail to mailbox. when carrier turned around the customer 's dog came out of the garage towards the carrier. The carrier twisted his knee as he started to back pedal to get out of the yard and get to safety.
