What happened
While changing batteries for PIT equipment Building Equipment Maintenance inadvertently placed his hand at the pinch point between the battery sling and the battery lifting eye and pinched his middle finger of his right hand between the sling hook and the battery lifting eye. BEM was taken to the emergency room where it was determined that he has a fracture and damage to the fingernail and fingernail bed.
