What happened

The Supervisor is writing to express a serious concern regarding their safety as a supervisor as well as the safety of their family following a troubling incident on the work floor today involving a carrier. Carrier became extremely agitated and began raising his voice and using inappropriate language in front of other staff. As part of my responsibilities I calmly asked him to lower his voice. However he continued to use bad language. I then directed him to go home for the day but instead of complying his behavior escalated. He returned after leaving followed me around the floor continued to verbally harass me and even began pushing equipment in an aggressive manner. What deeply concerns me is that this employee knows where I live and I fear for my safety and that of my family. I do not feel safe in my job and I believe something needs to be done to address how employees treat supervisors when it comes to respect and safety.
