Before the incident

I was going down the stairs to draw my patients blood and twisted my ankle on the narrow and uneven stairs leading down the where the patient was located.

What happened

As I was walking down the stairway to see the patient the patients daughter told me to be careful I had been to this home before so I knew the stairs were a bit tricky and there is a stair lift at the bottom for the patient so the stairway is very narrow and the stairs are uneven then the patients daughter turned the light out just as I got to the second to last step and that 's when i step down not seeing and twisted my ankle trying to avoid the stairlift.
