Before the incident
A coworker has her computer plugged into an outlet that extended across the office that was too short. It was approximately 18 inches above floor level and extended to the desk across the room where she was sitting working on her lap top.
What happened
I stood up from my desk and began to walk out of the office. I did not initially notice the wire. I tripped over it with my right foot causing me to twist my right ankle. I caught myself and prevented a fall by grabbing onto the desk partition to the left of me.
