Sanding weld joint on a caster

What happened

Employee was in the process of smoothing out a weld that he had just completed on a base cart with wheels for a toolbox. The employee was holding the cart firmly on the workbench when he was sanding. Employee was using a handheld DeWalt grinder with a 4-inch sanding disc on it. The employee stated the incident happened so fast that he was unsure of the exact spot where the snag possibly occurred but he thinks it might have snagged at the base of the wheel weld. When the snag occurred the grinder kicked back and struck the employee 's top left hand. Employee immediately covered the injury with his right hand and saw that blood was coming out. He then went down to the electrical shop and spoke to two electricians. The one electrician addressed the cut covering the laceration with a towel and applying pressure while the other electrician contacted management to let them know that there had been there had been an incident.
