What happened
The [REDACTED] Operator was cleaning the top surface area of the Ransohoff wash machine which is raised 18 above the floor. To better clean the surface the operator chose to walk on this surface. While exiting the surface going backwards the operator’s foot caught a panel handle causing him to lose balance and fall backwards on to the concrete floor.
Injury or illness
Shoulder back and neck Sprain & bruised ribs. The operator first went to the immediate care facility which then sent him to the Gen Oaks Emergency room where he waited for several hours before x-rays could be taken. No bones were broken and he was diagnosed with strains and bruised ribs and given work restrictions.
