Operator was removing a part from the collect. He went to actuate the switch to release the collet he mistakenly actuated the switch for the slide which made a cut in the top of his left hand and a fracture to his left index finger. The Immediate care clinic was not open at the time so he was taken to the [REDACTED] room where he received 8 stiches and antibiotics.
